Many people have given up on bobbling, thinking that they are either too complicated or that it's just a waste of time and money. But they can learn how to make bobbles in no time at all!
How to make your own bobble head, that is a question many people ask as the years go by. The truth is, the answer isn't that difficult. You don't need to be an artist to make one. You don't need a degree. You don't need to know anything about advertising or marketing. All you need is a computer and an idea!
The first step you'll need is to find an image that you want to incorporate into your bobblehead. The simplest way to do this is to use Google images. You will need a Google account and a working internet connection, so you can look for the image you want to use.
Upload your image to Google images. Then look for the copyright info to make sure that you are allowed to use it. If you are not sure what this means, don't worry. Once you've found the copyright information, you can download it to your computer. You may want to print out a copy to show to the person who will give you the bobbling ideas.
Make sure you print out the file in good shape. Don't just go over it with a pair of scissors. There is nothing more important than being sure that your file is in its best shape.
Once you have your file, you're ready to create your custom bobbles! The next step is to decide what color scheme you want your bobbles to follow. Most companies offer a wide variety of colors, but if you want to personalize your custom bobbles you can get a template to do this.
On your company's site, there will often be a drop down menu at the top that will allow you to choose a template for your bobbles. When you have selected the template, print it out. Make sure the color and font are the same on both sides. Then print off the template to give yourself instructions on how to fill in your custom bobbles. Don't try and cut corners by erasing or making the template look different on each side.
Once you have completed the template, you should print out a few more so that you can create more copies of the template. Take your copies to a local printer to have them printed at a shop near you. You will need to pay for the cost of printing because your template is only for the number of copies you need. But they're cheaper than printing custom bobbles from home! Print a couple of copies and give them out as party favors for your upcoming party.
Now you are ready to decorate your custom bobblehead. Start by taking an old CD case or CD jewel case and cutting off the bottom portion of the lid. The lid should fit onto the bobblehead as snugly as possible and you can glue it on either side of the lid.
Take a piece of cardboard base paper and fold it in half lengthwise and cut it in half. Put the folded cardboard on top of your custom bobblehead. Tape it down tightly.
Next, take a ribbon, glitter, or sticker, and tape it onto the bobblehead. I would suggest getting the colored kind because it will stand out a little more.
